Maia is a designer, maker, director, producer & performer of puppetry.  Since graduating from drama school in 2013, she has enjoyed collaborating on puppetry projects with numerous companies and artists to create exciting and imaginative new work.

In 2015 Maia founded House of Stray Cats (HOSC), a theatre company that produces original and engaging, puppet led performances.

Her work as a puppeteer includes:

Invisible Me (R&D), Jack Frost (National Tour), The Little Matchgirl (National Tour), The Dream Factory (National Tour), Metamorphosis (National Tour), Lysistrata (National Tour), The Tempest (Cockpit Theatre).

In 2018, Maia was on attachment as the Puppetry Consultant as part of the Old Vic 12.

Alongside her work with HOSC, Maia enjoys developing, designing and directing puppetry for other plays, R&Ds, festivals and tours.  Highlights as a designer include: 

Meet the Eastenders (National Tour in association with Museum of London Docklands), Invisible Me (Little Angel Studios), A Dickensian Christmas (The Old Library), Look Up (Brighton Fringe and other National Festivals), Sticky Tape (R&D at The Blue Elephant), Great Apes (Arcola Theatre), Wild Wilma (Pleasance Scratch Night), A Stone's Throw (Edinburgh International Festival), The Dream Factory (National Tour), Metamorphosis (National Tour), Doctor Faustus (National Tour), Tyke (Arts Theatre Leicester Square).
